Susan obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Benson Idahosa University, Nigeria in 2014. She then proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, before being called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2015.
While practicing in Nigeria, Susan worked as an Associate Lawyer for four years focusing on employment matters, real estate transactions, criminal matters, and family law. She eventually joined a real estate firm where she worked as an in-house counsel until her relocation to Canada in 2020.
Upon relocation to Canada, Susan completed the Canadian law qualification exams to satisfy the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) for equivalency and obtained her Certificate of Qualification. She joined EO Law as an articling student and completed the rest of her licensing journey here, following which she has now been admitted to the Alberta Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor.
At EO Law, Susan provides a wide range of legal services to her clients, with her primary areas of practice being Criminal Law, Personal Injury, Employment Law, Immigration, Family Law and Real Estate. She is also familiar with client management due to a two-year experience working as a Court Intake and Assessment Officer for the Legal Aid Society of Alberta.
Susan enjoys reading and baking. She volunteers with Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council (CRIEC), where she shares her experiences with other internationally trained lawyers.
